Care Connect is the phone system for a practice that takes call. Patients call your numbers, the call rings whoever your schedule says is on call, and the practice keeps the record of every call its lines handled.

These guides cover using the product. They assume you have an account and are signed in at app.mycare-connect.com.

Where to start

If you are the first person from your practice here, work through Getting started in order: create your account, which creates the organization with it, then set up your first line. Everything else hangs off the organization: lines, teammates, the directory and billing all belong to it rather than to you.

If someone invited you, the invitation created your account and put you in their organization. Skip ahead to your profile and security to finish setting yourself up, then ask whoever invited you which lines you are expected to cover.

How the pieces fit

An organization is your practice in Care Connect. It owns everything: its lines, its team, its directory, its audit trail and its billing. You can belong to more than one, and you switch between them from the top of the sidebar.

A line is a phone number that belongs to the organization. Each line carries its own routing (who a call rings), its own schedule, what callers and the on-call person hear, and the carrier registrations it has completed. A practice runs as many lines as it needs.

The team is everyone who can sign in to the organization, each with a role that decides what they can see and change.

The directory is the list of people calls are routed to: the clinicians and staff who take call. A directory entry is a name and a phone number, not a login, so someone can be on call without ever opening the app.

When something is not here

The product is small and honest about what it does. Where a guide says something is not available yet, it is not hidden somewhere else. The public roadmap says what is coming, and support is a person.
